Residential Recovery

RHM Recovery now are able to offer Residential Recovery in partnership with Hull International House.

HIH, or 'The House' as we call it, is in the Avenues area (HU5) in the city of Hull. There is a Warden and an Assistant Warden with nightly cover and they look after you as well as the fabric of the House. The house is a Methodist Church run facility, but you don't have to be a Christian to enter. However, you do need to have the desire to want recovery!

The house is a shared facility housing up to 37 residents from all walks of life and the key to our success in integrating ten 1st Steps clients with other residents is that everyone gels together like a family. You will be expected to honour and respect one another and follow the house rules.
We offer 10 beds on our 1st Steps project with limited availability so you may need to go on a waiting list on applying for a room.

  • You'll be assigned your own room, with full access to all house facilities i.e: Kitchen, Dinning Rooms, Games room, Laundry room, and Prayer room.
  • Pastoral Team available to help with everyday situations.
  • A care-plan will be provided to help you in your recovery.
  • 12-Step groups attendance is mandatory.
  • 1-2-1 Counselling on a weekly basis is offered.
  • When your advanced in your recovery, placement voluntary work will be arranged.
