You don't have to be addicted to benefit from the 12 steps. The world would be a better place if we all followed them. But when other people don't follow the principles of the 12 steps, they end up being unhappy. When addicts don't follow the principles of the 12 steps, they end up using to escape their unhappiness.
Our focus is to assist people in their change process in dealing with addictions, emotional issues and healing the wounds from the past in order to enjoy the present and learn to truly love and appreciate themselves and others. We assist clients in manifesting their dreams and find the freedom that lies within them.
Withdrawal occurs because your brain works like a spring when it comes to addiction.
Drugs and alcohol are brain depressants that push down the spring. They suppress your brain's production of neurotransmitters like noradrenaline. When you stop using drugs or alcohol it's like taking the weight off the spring, and your brain rebounds by producing a surge of adrenaline that causes withdrawal symptoms.
